About the event

All wines presented in this 90 minute class originate from the Ribera del Duero region in Spain, and its neighboring

regions of Rueda and Castilla y León. Ribera del Duero is known to produce some of the best quality

wines in the world thanks to its geographical location and climate conditions, with dry and hot summers

and cold long winters. These contrasts produce grapes that concentrate flavor and sugars. The region’s

strict regulations for wine producers, create wonderfully balanced and unique wines.

Attendees can expect to hear from expert wine makers in the region that will take them through the

characteristics of the Ribera del Duero region, the D.O. classification of Spanish wines and what makes

Ribera’s Tempranillo different from others. You will understand what makes Spain and specifically this

region, one of the best in the world. You will also learn the different flavors and strengths through a

tasting journey that showcases both classic and modern varietals.
